Elizabeth

The Queen of our era. It's still unreal that she passed away. Everyone knew this was inevitable, yet we all thought she was immortal. Sadly, she wasn't. I don't know why but I kinda liked her. I grew up noticing from a close angle what power does to people. In my opinion, Queen Elizabeth II did a great job. No misunderstanding - this was a job. The hardest of all - is to decide for a nation. Netflix's The Crown shows some of that struggle and shine. Claire Foy and Olivia Colman are both mesmerizing in it. Hats off to the ladies.

1926-2022. 96 years of human life, 70 years of being the Queen. Her father died much too young, just like mine. Fate comes, and you have to take it on. Elizabeth did it, and I praise her for that. The grace she had shown, the way she walked and talked - these are some things to follow. The Queen visited so many parts of the world, all parts of her country. She loved to stay in her London, yet she took on the challenges. A fellow nomad, if you ask me.

Elizabeth had wondered about future generations quite a lot. Now I can understand her mind more because of the passing of my Dad just a month ago. A good sense of humor is the key to living a long life - from my point of view. Queen Elizabeth handled so much in the last few years with her family, the global pandemic, Brexit, and more. Don't forget that she was only 21 when her life ended - as the way we all could enjoy ours. Elizabeth started the real service for the people. God helped her.

It's not sad to remember her, nor to give up my birthday for her. If I'm ever going to celebrate my birthday in London (or anywhere in England) I'm going to be happy to salute and offer it to her.

your soul British,

Kata The Nomad
