Respect - Aretha Franklin

It's been a while for me to witness such great storytelling and acting about a real person. I like biographical movies, I think they deserve to be praised much more! This film - 'Respect' (2021) - took me on an emotional rollercoaster but was absolutely worth it. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. Last night was magical. Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job as super badass, vulnerable, crazily talented, and sweet Aretha Franklin! Hats off, ladies and gentlemen!

This is the main reason why I believe making movies is not a waste of time. Every human being has a story, some of us just seem to have more to share. I hereby encourage all of you fellow filmmakers out there to create more biographical ones! Come on, we have so many interesting and gifted folks around!

To me, all life is equally important. I don't see skin color, I see personality and actions. I hear the words you say and I only care for whether they are nice and uplifting, or bad and discouraging. We all get our piece of karma and destiny here but things can be changed, always. Faith can do that. God can do that.

I don't have better words to share today but please watch 'Respect'! Whether you are in a male or female or any other kind of body. Whether you are pink, or red, or orange. Just watch this movie with an open mind and a true heart!

your ever well-wisher friend,
