Collection Squad

Sold some of my beloved books in order to prepare for a relocation. It's going to happen, just not sure yet to where and when. I can feel it in my gut. It has had always been like this. I need to see the rest of the world, pandemic or not. Enough is enough. Waiting for it to go away is the worst kind of decision. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. I have to be ready for my chance to move. Selling and donating/giving away my stuff and things is the way. Not Mandalorian but good for now.

Had a chat with various aged women about being childless and childfree. It seems like being one of the most interesting topics of nowadays time. Reasons are as many as the women who appeared to talk about it. Hereby I am going to list a few common ones. More than one of them said the 'planet is already full' as the main reason why not to have a child. The second most popular was the 'huge responsibility' issue with saying everything they do will have an effect on the baby. It can not be re-done. Once you said or did something it has an impact on that other soul. The most disturbing for these women was the 'giving birth' part itself. They said to me that it is 'super frightening' and 'extremely shocking'. The financial part is heavily weighing in for the 'no kids on my block' decision. People are having less and less to share with the future family. An adult can easily accommodate herself/himself to any kind of situation but a child needs to be protected and well-raised. 

The big difference between the childless and childfree also created havoc. These women fought with each other, yet I pointed out none of them should be attacked because of their bodily situation or decision is. Some of them see kids as chains. They don't want to live in one place for years which is a huge possibility when you welcome a baby. Others said they can grab the baby and travel too. It was a heated discussion, for sure.

The possibility of divorcing is also a factor. Nowadays relationships and marriages are not the 'forever' kind. People get in fast and get out faster. They see the kids as 'super annoying little freaks'. /Some women who have kids came too, they said in complete agreement that every child can be 'super irritating for no real reason'./ No adult wants to be left alone with a child or children.

The final topic was how men react to it nowadays. We all agreed that it depends on the man but the common sense /agreement/ seems to be still the same: 'all woman must give birth at some point to become a whole'. Human life has its surprises, faith in God's plan can do a lot to bring you all peace with it. Yet, none of you out there have to feel ashamed nor embarrassed if the herd's opinion is not yours at all. Keep it true, true to yourself, and true to your partner!
