Before the post begins, I'm giving updates on the most important: My hopes are high for Jeremy Renner to recover. I'm so grateful! Thanks, God! Cutest video on Instagram from his ICU hospital room! Big bear hugs to Kym, Valerie, all the family members, and all the nurses!
Now let me praise my childhood hero and chief: Sly Stallone!
Never was a question to me that Paramount+ was going to renew Tulsa King for a second season (or more). I've seen only 8 episodes so far, and I'm thrilled to be able to see the rest of season 1 soon! I'm into this! Chief Sly has his comeback as an old-school mob boss. Hands down. I loved every second of the show. Each character has perfect chemistry with Dwight. Reasons may vary, but he flashes his light upon them just in time. The writing and camera work has to get a standing ovation!
Sly himself is a screenwriter. He was the first hero for little me dreaming about my Oscar for best original screenplay. Rocky, Rambo, and The Expendables - he also wrote and directed them along with acting. I enjoy his dialogue and action. Sly found the delicate shadow of a tough guy's heart in all situations. I like that.
Chief Stallone is tenacious. He got rejected thousand times, yet here we are. Need any more motivation and inspiration?
My favorite films of all time from him: Rocky, Tango & Cash, Cliffhanger, Oscar, Demolition Man, The Specialist, Assassins, Cobra, The Expendables, Rambo: First Blood, Judge Dredd, Get Carter, Cop Land, and Tulsa King.
Back to Dwight Manfredi. I love the name, too. I know there's a lot more in this character and show. I wish they start looking for new writers for next season(s) and pick me. Fingers crossed. Dwight can find new friends and foes for sure. Never thought Tulsa - Oklahoma - could be this interesting. Most definitely going to watch closely what's happening next.
your writer capo,
Kata The Nomad
