Movie Critics on IMDb

I'm dead for Instagram for a reason. I'm tired of people. I need a break. I'm getting back when I had my little writing vacation. Now my favorite hobby is typing movie critics for IMDb.com! It's fun for me. I like sharing my thoughts, anyway. Films are there for the taking. You just have to pick a few per day and then share your reviews.

I'm planning on a big trip - a trip of a lifetime. It's going to happen in the Spring, but I'm way too hyped to tell it just yet. You all are going to wait for the good stuff. You can guess about it if you wish! Leave comments!

About screenwriting competitions: as far as I know, each one has thousands of scripts submitted, yet all we can read and hear is there are no unique ideas on the market. Bullshit. The way I see it is they only make reboots and resurrections of old movies. In Hollywood, every tiny dot is connected, so you better beware! No joke, you have to count your followers and friends. Foes are waiting in every corner, but you can survive if you keep going! Don't listen to the pessimistic voices! Anybody can make it if they keep on trying. That's the smart move. Never stop knocking! Somebody's going to answer.

My health also got a little down in the heart area. My stress level got to a degree no one had ever seen before. I was scared of getting a heart attack for days and nights. Now feeling better, but each night is a fight for life. I'm not a big sleeper, I never was, but this is like I wrote: a new level. Wish me luck on letting go! Other people's craziness is not my problem. Period.

Inisherin Boys

I question if lifelong friendships exist. This is my beginning point. I sat down to watch this movie without expectations. I was way more curious to have any. Missed Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Martin McDonagh. They work well together, like In Bruges (all 3 of them, what a gift!) and Seven Psychopaths (2 of them only, still an honor!). With this piece, they are about to leave their mark behind (again).

The core situation brought back some weird memories of when one of my colleagues (and girlfriends) once told me that our friendship lasted as long as we worked together and no more. 'It was only an epoch for me.' How cruel I felt that night, but later on, I understood deeply. It was kind of bizarre we were not on the same page anymore. It was more likely a companionship, and our journey together ended.

Pádraic is just adorable. This not-at-all-simple character makes enormous efforts to earn back seemingly stoic Colm's friendship and valuable attention. Dark comedy, I must say. It's not the popcorn laughter that this story brings. Different from that. Male brotherhood draws another line. Sensitive and painful. (Éire, my love! When will you accept me as your faithful lover?) It was a pleasure to wonder about those eye-watering green landscapes. The animals were in absolute cuteness overload. Who can resist saying hello to one another?! Poor Jenny, my heart got a tiny bit broken. Her stupid death made me fairly lethal with reckless Colm, putting him on death row, for sure.

Cutting the fingers off was where I left my brains out! I mean, that surprised me that Colm actually did it (more than once)! Of course, it was perfect for Colm's passionate and bitter character. It opened my eyes to a fact: I write in similar ways to Martin's writing because my imagination can turn me on, too. Writers are a priceless breed! I'm now looking for a theatre play to see from McDonagh. I have to experience that!

Here come the impressive supporting roles! Hilarious and brave casting. I loved each and every second Siobhán was around! Kerry Condon is the one who could carry them on her shoulders. Hats off. Her way of showing the caring sister and the daring woman at the same time deserved my focus. Dominic has facial expressions to remember - a dull boy with a huge heart. Barry Keoghan has it all in him. His dynamic with Pádraic and Siobhán was bloody priceless. Just like the bartender fellas. Last but with even more praise: the Priest! Laughed my head off! Thank you, David Pearse. Confessions became tempting.

Screenwriting 1.0

Art, life, dreams and visions, instincts, lessons, craft, stories, memories, scents and colors, feelings and thoughts, places and people. This is just the beginning of it. Constantly learning and evolving. The crazier the ride, the better for me. So true. I hate boring things and boring people. I live my life the way I want to. I have faith in God, and that keeps me going. I listen to my inner nerd, always. Writing came with me as I was born. Screenwriting was my first love, and I am still in that relationship - happiest ever.

I read other screenwriters' works in the past two years. Around 50 scripts. It was a much-needed experience. I've learned what I wanted to do like them and what I would never do. I also read famous screenplays (around 30) to see it written down what I've already fallen in love with on the screen. Another lethal spot. Priceless experience. As a screenwriter, you can not escape this part. Just saying.

Funny thing or not but I've never learned screenwriting in a film school. That subject was missing from my film studies back in 2004-2005. MAFILM gave me a wonderful time but it was more like a little bit of everything and not specializing in one territory. I was into directing back then, so that was my major goal.

Everything starts with the script. We, writers, are the most important parts and parcels of this game.

Feature-length films, short films, television series, web series, stage plays - I'm writing all of these. But my major writing goal is to write TV/web series because my main problem was how to shorten my stories to be able to fit in one feature film. I'm relieved now that I know about the solution. Blood and honey. Set me free.

Specializing in one genre is another tricky part. I know mine but I don't want to be locked inside a box. I like freedom in creativity. I function best when there are no boundaries. My mind is my best friend. We create what you are looking for. Scorpion eyes.

I'm most definitely a freelancer. Open to paid assignments and spreading my spec scripts around.

Dwight 'The General' Manfredi

Before the post begins, I'm giving updates on the most important: My hopes are high for Jeremy Renner to recover. I'm so grateful! Thanks, God! Cutest video on Instagram from his ICU hospital room! Big bear hugs to Kym, Valerie, all the family members, and all the nurses!

Now let me praise my childhood hero and chief: Sly Stallone!

Never was a question to me that Paramount+ was going to renew Tulsa King for a second season (or more). I've seen only 8 episodes so far, and I'm thrilled to be able to see the rest of season 1 soon! I'm into this! Chief Sly has his comeback as an old-school mob boss. Hands down. I loved every second of the show. Each character has perfect chemistry with Dwight. Reasons may vary, but he flashes his light upon them just in time. The writing and camera work has to get a standing ovation!

Sly himself is a screenwriter. He was the first hero for little me dreaming about my Oscar for best original screenplay. Rocky, Rambo, and The Expendables - he also wrote and directed them along with acting. I enjoy his dialogue and action. Sly found the delicate shadow of a tough guy's heart in all situations. I like that.

Chief Stallone is tenacious. He got rejected thousand times, yet here we are. Need any more motivation and inspiration?

My favorite films of all time from him: Rocky, Tango & Cash, Cliffhanger, Oscar, Demolition Man, The Specialist, Assassins, Cobra, The Expendables, Rambo: First Blood, Judge Dredd, Get Carter, Cop Land, and Tulsa King.

Back to Dwight Manfredi. I love the name, too. I know there's a lot more in this character and show. I wish they start looking for new writers for next season(s) and pick me. Fingers crossed. Dwight can find new friends and foes for sure. Never thought Tulsa - Oklahoma - could be this interesting. Most definitely going to watch closely what's happening next.

Praying for Jeremy Renner

I want to send all the positive vibes, energies, and prayers to Jeremy Renner. I wish the best for him. Not being completely aware of what has happened, but my heart and soul are with him. It still feels unreal. I couldn't react to the news because I was hoping for them to be fake, but now I sadly know it's true. Jeremy Renner had an accident and has undergone surgery. Staying in the intensive care unit is no joke. I know what he and his family are going through because this was my July and August with my Dad. You don't know what 'powerless' means until you experience something like this. It's the worst feeling in human existence. I'm praying for him and his loved ones.

Jeremy's birthday is coming up, and I hope he can celebrate it with his family with being in a better condition. I just can't write much right now. I'm too emotional for this. I need to speak to God, so excuse me.

Stop the Fireworks!

In my way of seeing things, fireworks significantly damage animals. They can't get over the trauma your fireworks are causing them. Is it really worth it? Usually, it takes days or weeks for the fauna to get back to normal after your 'NYE sound shock'. I have many alternatives for better humans who can think further than themselves and their kids' enjoyment (?). I highly doubt that this is the only method a kid can understand it's a new year. Just saying. I'm not a parent, but I have a dog. He had a panic attack for hours because of the shitshow local people put on from early last night (6pm) until 2am.

Here are my simple and available ideas to replace fireworks:

1, Campfire

2, Lamps

3, LED lights

4, Candles, swimming candles

5, Sparkler

6, Fluorescent lamps

7, Light painting

and they say there are silent fireworks in the market.

I don't want to be the killer of the tradition, but this thing is stupid and lethal to animals.

I want 2023 to be the year when fireworks got banned in my country. I hope money can't buy this thing out. I sincerely pray for this to stop. I am and have been on the anti-firework team. Hands down.

One exception: if people get together in an arena that is soundproof to the outside world and they do their fireworks there. Wonder how many crazy fuck would show up. My bet is very few. Would volunteer to lead the testing team from a further office through cameras. Interesting experiment.
