Most people can not imagine their lives without others. Writers are different - we are already living in the plural. Perfectly sane, just much more enjoyable. We love meeting /and competing/ with our kind. Human life is way more fun for those who dare to play. I like talking with humans from the same genre. I mean, people with witty and ridiculous humor. Those who shake you to wake you. I love an excellent action-crime-thriller to roll around. Antoine Fuqua is a master of that iconic and extraordinary filmmaking. My tiny self would be honored if I could work under his command one day /sooner than later/. Went nuts for 'The Equalizer 1-2' and jumped out of my chair when I heard of the making of 'The Equalizer 3'! Yes, God, I heard my calling. Denzel Washington is pretty cool, badass, likable, and classy as Robert McCall. I was secretly hoping for more to come, and here we go! Hats off to Richard Wenk too, the screenplay writer! I'm more than curious to know what he's up to this time!
Summer is here, yet what I do is my favorite thing in the world: writing. No vacation for a writer. Our brain writes 24/7. Sleep? Are you kidding me? I never sleep. Even if I do, I do it short. The thing is, I write & direct my dreams, so for me, the best dreams are the surprising ones. Mostly nightmares or love stories. What a combo, hah! As I get older in this material circus, I feel more and more familiar with it. I got much more comfortable in this skin, I can accept the flaws, and I'm going to do my best. Having fun is a part of that.
Loved it how Kiefer Sutherland talked about movie writing as the root of it all. 'Storylines and words that rule the day' - made my afternoon so far. Thank you, Jack Bauer. I know it might not be his favorite character, yet I'm in if '24' ever gets to continue!
Wednesday it is, the last day officially of making sour cherry jam! Aye! It was a wonderful journey, yet I had enough of this reddish biohazardous thing. Just kidding, it's yummy and healthy. Mother Nature and her gifts. Pure gratitude.
