You got to choose. Yes, each and every one of you. You can either save this world or destroy it. This is not something you should underestimate. The choices we make are there to change us. If they are not pushing us forward, they were the wrong ones. This is a fact. None of us is making out of this alive. Better use the time wisely. Trouble is waiting on the corner. You can walk beyond that anytime you make your mind up to it.
Tribeca's 'Halftime' forced me to think about human life a little more. Deeper, if you may. When do you think your halftime is? Is it depending on love, career, health, age, or dreams? Are you a champion? Are you winning? Do you have faith in yourself? What is left for you? Who is out there looking for you? Are you still excited to live?
What is human life anyway? A college diploma, a steady paycheck, a lasting marriage, a few kids, a solid success in any given field? It has to be more than that. I've always wanted to see further than my nose. Being spiritual at the right time, in the right place, and during the right circumstances can elevate you.
I'm 37 years old and I've been to more than one 'lowest points'. Noone has ever told me it's okay to fail, it's okay to lose. I was told I had to be a winner at all times and all cost. Now I know better. I want to live the life I'm destined to lead, and I won't ever settle for less than I'm capable of. I've never let go of the goal of my tiny human life. It's more than a dream because I've taken a definite move each day towards it.
It's been a while they say, and yes, I admit that it takes time. Failing, and failing, and failing again. Getting back at it, getting another chance, and trying another thing again. Never stopped writing. Never stopped watching movies. Never stopped taking pictures and doing cinematography. Never stopped having ideas and creating stories. Never stopped growing and becoming. I've never had anything else in my mind and heart than writing and filmmaking. I'm still taking all the chances I can. The people I meet along the way are amazing souls. The people I begin to love are even greater. The faith that I have defines me. I keep on writing and striving.
your soul,
