Bruce Lee - there is no human on this planet Earth who doesn't know who he is. Whether you are a martial arts or Asian lifestyle /health, spirituality & philosophy/ fan, you know him very well. Bruce Lee taught us so many things, not just self-defense techniques, nor jeet kune do, The Little Dragon /Xiaolong/ set an example of how to live this human life consciously. He was there, he had an extremely determined mind and will. His influence is still here, he has a huge impact on any kind of combat. But not just that. The way he talked about living and how our mindset should be is also exemplary.
Today is special for me and I believe in the protecting energy he is sending even now. Bruce Lee should have been here, at age 81, teaching us and building modern popular culture, directing movies, giving interviews, and writing books. Bruce Lee is one of the most important people of the 20th century and even the 21st, I'd say. I like the way he lived, how he acted, how he spoke and smiled. I miss him, not just because I grew up watching him, but because I wanted to impress him, to make him proud of how far I've got. He was one of my very first idols, the main reason I became strong.
The True Bruce Lee Legacy is living the way he taught us, giving the path on to others for free, keeping his memory alive because of pure love for him. To me, Bruce Lee is not just a person, he is a guardian, he is the perfect master, he is also gentle and loving.
Today I warn you, I might get emotional for this reason - the birthday of Bruce Lee. He went away too fast before he could change this world for the better. He did turn it around though, yet he could do much more. I am going to remember him for who he was to me and for who is is still for all of us.
your tiny dragon,
Kata The Writer Nomad
