Behind-the-scenes Tour

What no one has ever told you about an artist's life.

We face judgement and criticism all the time. Our families become sceptic about our talent and success like on a daily/weekly/monthly basis - if we let them meet us that often, after a while. We get tired of the ordinary bullshaft of ordinary people. We want to quit (every other day) but we can't give up what we were born with. We see this world (and the other) with different eyes and we refuse to stop being curious. We go into that 'danger zone' even if all the odds are against us. We try anything and everything new to feel alive again. We want to share the bloody truth with everyone, we are here to preach and we need an audience. We love life but we are not afraid of death because we have already lived like 10 lifetimes.

Most importantly, we are the lucky ones. We do believe in fairies and we had our dance with the devil. We came back from afar and yet, we are always ready to go on an adventure again. We have faith even when everything seems to go against us. We encourage others while bleeding inside. We seem okay on the surface but we are battling demons on the inside, like constantly. We are the rare species you are killing for your own comfort of daily boredom. We came to this planet Earth to shake it up, yet you are trying to tie us up with your attachments. We were born to be free and no love is strong enough to withstand that.

We are the ones you all would die without, yet you always manage to put us down with your comments. God has His ways for all of us and not everybody was meant to deal with the magic of art. I believe in the appreciation of each and every talent, I do support my fellow artists because I am aware of how it feels when nobody is there. You are one of a kind and you should know that even in the darkest moments. Never giving up is the true strength, we pay the price but we get so much in return. We can walk tall again after each fall. Never forget, we are the lucky ones!

your ever cheerful soul friend,

Kata The Nomad
