In life or in death - what is the meaning of pure love? Can you define that? Where can we all find our eternal shelter as Sri Jiva Gosvami's poem in eight verses telling us? Can we truly understand what he means?
Love for God is the only real and pure love anybody can feel. Each and every other relationship has a motive, a purpose, a little this and a little that. When a husband loves a wife - there are many reasons, even more of the things a man wants from a woman. Not going into details here, hopefully, we all know exactly what I mean. The same goes out for women, a wife loves a husband when he acts nicely, and despises him when he doesn't. Simple material life. The same happens between parents and their child or children, between friends and relatives.
As long as we are alive, we have the chance each day waking up to love God. Not talking about any religion here, just pure love. But how can you love somebody if you have no idea who he/she is?
First things first, you have to ask the right questions to the right people. Any person who you trust and has knowledge about God. The treasures are there, all you have to do is gather all your life-force and ask for the map.
Human life is a gift with limited access. I recommend you not to wait for too long to open it! Each and every day is taking from you, yet you live your life like it is there forever. Well, in another form it is going to be but human life has an end. Nothing can stop death from coming so better use what is given before he arrives.
Every mother knows what is pure love and service when it comes to her child or children. In a relationship with God, you have to learn how to act the same way. Unconditionally. Lose yourself! Lose the ego and the always busy mind!
We are souls, never ever forget that! Pure love for God is the nature of the soul.
your ever well-wisher friend,
Kata Varga
